TESTIMONIALS

At NCCP I learned so much about the fundamentals of investment banking, including company valuation and understanding the entire M&A deal process from beginning to end. I was actively involved in all aspects of the sale process associated with two high growth private companies, which included creating the pitch book, the management slide presentation, detailed financial modeling, helping to determine the strategic acquirers and how to effectively contact both the strategic and financial acquirers. Bigger picture I learned invaluable aspects of investment banking and how to carry myself as professional. Coming out of this internship, I gained a tremendous amount of confidence in my professional abilities. I am truly thankful to NCCP for showing me how to stand on my ground and how to have the kind of career in investment banking, private equity, or VC that I can be proud of.

Oliver Chen, NCCP Class of 1H 2019

As a fourth-year college student who was highly interested in breaking into investment banking, I was ecstatic to have received the position as an analyst intern for NCCP. Working directly with the managing directors at the firm allowed me to acquire many of the core fundamentals necessary both to land a full-time investment banking position and most importantly to excel in that career. This knowledge includes: mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, the deal process from start to finish, etc. To anyone who is seeking a way into the field of investment banking, I highly recommend working with NCCP.

Nico Flores, NCCP Class of 1H 2019

NCCP gave me the opportunity to have an in-depth experience in investment banking straight out of college. I was able to learn a tremendous amount not just about how the deal process works but also about the technology sector as a whole. The internship set me up with the tools and framework needed to launch a highly successful career in finance.

Kevin Harnischfeger, Investment Analyst Camden Capital, NCCP Class of 1H 2019

Upon completion of my master’s degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, I carefully considered whether or not to accept an internship offer at NCCP. I am glad I did! I learned a tremendous amount, including how to value emerging growth cloud and cyber security companies, how to compete financial and operational due diligence, and prepare a company to be marketed to some of the world’s largest companies and PE firms. In short: I learned the fundamentals of investment banking and corporate finance. This experience positioned me very well to assume a financial analyst position at Intuit, a world-class $68 billion business and financial software company. I actually valued the internship so much, upon my request, NCCP allowed me to stay on an extra 4 months! I would highly recommend this internship.

Yifeng Gu, Financial Analyst at Intuit, NCCP Class of 2H 2018

Here at NCCP, I have learned so many things that I can never imagine before I started, such as what an M&A deal is like, how to pitch to clients, how to assist with a FINRA audit, how to design and develop a 100-page comprehensive cybersecurity industry whitepaper, how to make a management presentation, how to identify a good company (the list can go on and on), and especially how to deliver the highest-quality work product.

I am so thankful that I had such a great opportunity to work at NCCP and learn from the managing directors’ deep investment banking experience, and I definitely enjoyed every single moment here at NCCP. Thank you very much for providing us this wonderful internship experience, and I really appreciate it!!!

Terry Huang, M&A Research Analyst at Harvey & Company, NCCP Class of 1H 2018

After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, I knew I wanted to pursue Investment Banking but lacked the requisite internship experience needed to work in the industry. After careful consideration, I decided to move across the country (from NYC to LA) to pursue an internship opportunity with NCCP.

This was the best decision I could have made! I learned a tremendous amount, such as: constructing a detailed 20-page financial model for a biotechnology company, preparing detailed management presentations for cloud and cyber security companies, and facilitating due diligence between clients and some of the largest technology acquirers globally. Additionally, the level of access to senior bankers at NCCP is unrivaled, as I was able to work directly with three managing directors on many projects.

This experience taught me the fundamentals of Investment Banking, and allowed me to break into the industry, where I am currently an Investment Banking Analyst at Lazard. I highly recommend this internship to everyone potentially interested - without it, I would not have been able to break into Investment Banking, let alone cover Technology. Thanks again!

Arvind Iyengar, TMT Investment Banking Analyst at Lazard, NCCP Class of 2H 2016

I worked at NCCP as an analyst intern for 8 months. I had prior experience in logistics and was looking for an opportunity to break into private equity. NCCP provided exactly what I needed. The internship provided the opportunity to not only work on financial modeling and improve my financial skillset but also work directly with the managing partner on several live deals. This is an invaluable opportunity as an intern that sets NCCP apart from the pack. I would highly recommend to anyone serious about working in investment banking/private equity. The internship proved extremely helpful in landing my next job in private equity.
